Awesome bakery recently remodeled and is way bigger bread is always delicious staff always nice very busy place during winter expect to spend some time in line and sometimes to find parking too. Bread is baked daily and tortillas too. Green burritos are good dont care much for the red ones or the tamales cakes are ok a little overpriced. Place is always clean !
Had an extra day added to our trip to Phoenix so my husband and I made sure we got to La Purisima Bakery before we headed back home. This place is totally worth the hype! It was a Tuesday afternoon at around 2:00 p.m. but there was still a line outside. A good indicator for sure. They were so so many options inside and we had no idea what to go for. I looked up the must try foods at Mexican bakeries and made a short list. Pumpkin Empanada was lovely! I thought it would have a crispy outside but it was more soft. It went really well with the filling. Filling was not super sweet or anything. Just a really good bake. Chocolate Concha was so soft and fresh and light! Since it was so big I thought it would have some weight to it but it was actually really soft and light. Like cloud bread? It stayed fresh even the next morning. So nice to buy it into and we could have had more for sure. The Flan was addictive! Some of the best flan my husband and I have ever had. Soft and silky and perfectly sweet. I didn't have it with the whipped cream on the side because I preferred it plain. Husband liked it both ways. Had to get some of those Mexican Piggy Cookies aka Marranito because this is Christmas season right now. Sweetness was just right, and subtle gingerbread flavor came through as well. Had this 3 days later and it was still soft and really good. Definitely recommend.
If you have a craving for authentic Mexican bread, flour tortillas, gelatins or plain sweet tooth for desert you have come here. There’s all kinds of deserts & fill your palette for any cravings. My to go to is their flour tortillas. They taste just like mom’s home made ones. I was made aware they also sell burritos & tamales. Staff is friendly & will get you in & out smoothly. Although there seems to be a long line every time I go in, the lines run fairly quickly. Prepare to pay with cash so you don’t get the small extra fee for paying with credit card/debit card or the system is down, BUT besides this, I highly recommend La Purisima Bakery.
They were a little busy, but absolutely worth the wait! The tamales and fresh flour tortillas weren't pictured, but they were amazing. Can't wait to come back!
One of the best bakeries in phoenix. They make all their breads and also make their own flour and corn tortillas. Place is always busy but they move the line quick.
They had the freshest and softest concha’s I’ve ever had in my life. I grew up in Phoenix and never had conchas like these. So delicious, would go perfect with a cup of coffee, tea, or milk!

Excellent Mexican bakery. The conchas are some of the best I've had. The cream horn is probably my favorite item. Huge selection. They also have some savory options like tamales and burritos, but I didn't try any of them.
Love ❤️ this bakery they usually have fresh rolls ....they also offer fun tasty pastries 🍰 😋....the Fresh goes bad after a day or so ; I recommend eating it Fresh....which is good to know that it is made with good quality ingredients..... Note::.""I try to stay away from the grocery store 🍞 bread in the store that can set on the shelves grocery store shelves for a month"
